His career path is as diverse as it is enriching, having worked in the front-lines of construction, hospitality, manufacture, and shipping logistics. However, security has always been his passion—a part-time pursuit that eventually became his full-time calling. Before founding CAMC, he gained hands-on experience at all levels of the security industry, from safeguarding construction sites to managing high-rise building security.
His decision to start CAMC was supported by his wife Jessica, who believed in his ability to turn his passion into a thriving business. Together with his father-in-law, Catalin began by providing tailored security solutions for weddings, a service that quickly grew popular and laid the foundation for CAMC’s success.

“I’ve been there,” Catalin reflects. “I know what it’s like to stand guard, to be the first line of defence.” Catalin’s journey into security began during his early twenties, when he took up a part-time job as a security guard while balancing multiple roles in other industries. The diverse skillset he developed—from the discipline learned in construction, the understanding of logistics and operations in shipping, to the interpersonal skills gained in directly dealing with people – proved invaluable.
A pivotal moment came when he handled a challenging security situation at a large event, earning commendations for his quick thinking and calm demeanour. Recognising his knack for the profession, Catalin decided to deepen his involvement in the field, taking courses and certifications to hone his expertise. “I had seen a niche market when we saw that security services were not being taken seriously enough. There was a legal requirement where one had to engage guards for gatherings of a certain mass in order to intervene in cases of trouble, but this was all rather vague, and hence the service – both sought for and which was being given – was neither solid, nor useful beyond compliance. We approached things from a different angle—by understanding what the client needs.

We then approached the business in terms of pre-empting and avoiding issues, rather than being ready to take action once trouble starts. We were offering clients our consultation, which led us to understand their needs, who their problematic people are, so we offered a custom service—tailor-made, so our guards knew exactly whom to take care of—who to keep an eye out for. ‘Don’t let it happen – prevent it’, I always say. And this is done by telling us your worries, telling us whom to take care of the most. That’s how it started—we handled about 20 weddings a week from the get-go. I started employing more and more people as from then. This mantra of listening to our clients, understanding their needs, and preventing before curing prevails throughout every single facet of what CAMC does.”
