The Kottonera Foundation has a prime objective to improve and safeguard the historic area of Kottonera, and in so doing, amplify its cultural heritage. In fact, it has launched a programme of restoration works, that include 25 historical sites across the Kottonera area.
V&M Contracting is proud to have been selected by Malta’s Restoration & Preservation Department to facilitate the Kottonera Foundation’s mission.
During the Second World War, the localities of Kottonera were heavily bombarded and the urban fabric was extensively damaged during this ordeal: damage that is still present in certain parts of the fortifications to this present day. It was therefore truly heartening for Malta’s entire inhabitants to note the Kottonera Foundation’s work together with the Restoration Directorate in this regard.
