As a direct consequence of non-compliance
with the principles of building
physics in multilayer walls, the
appearance of condensation in facade
walls is dangerous from the point of
view of longevity and decomposition,
with the passage of time.
Simprolit blocks, as an integral part
of the Simprolit system®, are designed
so that there is no condensation
in the walls, provided that the
basic rules of building physics, which
are built into the Simprolit system,
are followed, so that:
• vapour permeability of the layers increases from the inside to the outside
• if the exterior treatment is adhesive with mesh and facade coating with a total thickness of 10 mm, the inner mortar is elongated, with a minimum thickness of 15 mm (at least half thicker than the outer mortar);
• if the outer finish of the mortar is 15 mm thick, the minimum thickness of the inner mortar is 23-25 mm; • if the external facade cladding is vapour non-permeable, Simprolit ventilated blocks of type “V” and type “SOPV” are used.
The Simprolit range of building materials provide an optimum solution for the thermal insulation of floor, ceiling and walls structures.
Simprolit patented solid multilayer blocks are designed from two or more layers of encapsulated Simprolit polystyrene concrete of different volumetric masses. They are installed so that the bulk density of the layers decreases from inside to outside, which results in increased vapour permeability of layers and thus eliminates condensation, which is a frequent collateral effect of the utilisation of simpler building products.
