As the year moves ahead, so does our construction, property and interiors industries’ shift towards sustainable and qualitative developments. This is evident across all spheres of work, and this edition of Design & Build brings to light such matters.

MetalCo Ltd has expanded its service provisions to the retrieval, shredding and destruction of a vast array of materials; also for the convenience of the construction industry. We witness the company’s commitment to excel in their line of work, from investments in the purchasing of machinery to the structuring of logistics and security protocols and procedures to assist and safeguard their clients as expediently and efficiently as possible.

Jonathan Zammit, the Proprietor of ZJ Tile Laying, has also invested in acquiring skills and expertise, complementing these by giving all jobs their due time required and by solely purchasing quality tools and precision cutting machinery, to provide constantly stable quality results which are tantamount to factory production to our developments’ tiling and flooring.

Lumberjack Woodworks today serves a vast range of residential, commercial and entertainment-based developments with their doors and custom-made furniture, built to withstand heavy and constant use. It is interesting to note that their first job was free work for a worthy cause.

The Mercury Towers development is perhaps Malta’s most iconic new structure, and PManage’s Managing Director Perit David Muscat has worked, and is working closely with the late Zaha Hadid’s team in order to ensure the smoothness of the development process.

Maduma Real Estate strives to provide a unique one-stop shop service by combining their real estate service provision with that of its sister company: Infrastructure and Turnkey Projects Ltd (I.T.P. Ltd).

JM Skips excels in supporting some of the messiest aspects of development by having strengthened their infrastructure such that they can handle multiple sites simultaneously without the developers having to incur delays.

Finally, Beton Screed is steering Malta away from the traditional ‘torba’ and is providing optimum services for structural slabs and flooring foundations and finishes.
