MDA Estate Agents Section Committee

Earlier this year the MDA’s Estate Agents Section elected its new committee for the forthcoming year.
Michael Bonello of Alliance Group is the new Head of Section, succeeding Douglas Salt of Frank Salt who did not seek re-election after having spearheaded the Section since its inception.
Steve Mercieca of Zanzi and Quicklets has been appointed as Vice-President. Bernard Mangion of Ben Estates is the Treasurer and Cecil McCarthy of Twenty Four Real Estate is the Secretary. The other committee members are Joseph Caruana Curran of Remax Executives, Alan Grima of Dhalia and David Aquilina of Belair.
The MDA Council thanks Mr Salt for his years of dedication to the MDA Estate Agents Section whilst welcoming Mr Bonello and the new committee members.
The MDA, through its Estate Agents Section, today represents the largest majority of estate agents on the island and constantly seeks to represent the sector in the widest sense by putting forward proposals which leave tangible results in terms of more growth and increased opportunities. The Section’s Board is composed of a cross section of ‘competitors’ in the market who work together for the benefit of everyone in the industry.

Official statistics prove that the property industry, although faced with its own challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, has proved to be one of the main pillars of support for the Maltese economy month on month.
I’m honoured to have been entrusted with heading the Estate Agents Section. As a section we have the collective skills, enthusiasm and drive to overcome the challenges that the industry comes across and I am confident that we will continue to achieve good results. I am looking forward to work closely with my colleagues within the Section and with the MDA Council
– Michael Bonello, Head Estate Agents Section
